Hello, I am a printmaker in Cornwall. I make linocut prints and teach workshops both in Cornwall and my 'growing up' county of North Norfolk. I sell at local markets, Porthtowan Beach Shop and framed in Blue Bar Porthtowan.

Testing the new Caligo pastels from @handprinteduk I have this vision in my head of me methodically working through the Caligo deep colours. Meticulously adding, and logging precise amounts of extender or white. Then putting each varient on a piece of card for future reference. It's never going to happen of course, because I just mix as I go and see what happens, nice idea though eh?

Excuse the state of the garden, building work still underway. BUT it's not raining, first time in days! Will the washing dry or not? I'll let you know 😅 We don't have a tumble drier and it's too mild to light the woodburner. Drying struggles eh? Also trying to catch up on the washing before the washing machine comes out this week!

If I don't use all the ink I tape it up in a bit of plastic or greaseproof. Lasts for ages.

A disasterous afternoon of printing. I tried to amalgamate two old prints; three birds and breathe. I made eight and this is the only one I'm happy with! And that's not 100%. I've put a lo-fi filter on to make it look better 😅

Test print. A bit more cutting needed. This may end up as a reduction print, maybe. OR if I really get my act together a multiblock print. But I think thats unlikely. If you like a multiblock check out my sister @katewillowsart who does several.

Redruth plate cleaned after printing. I clean up by blotting and then veg oil and a rag, followed by a polish with a dry rag.
I chop old clothes up for rags that aren't good enough for the charity shop.

When I started printing I thought that all prints had to be a limited edition. And I never for a second thought I'd sell 30, 40 or 50 of one design. Well, I was wrong, on both counts. I've printed the last of my navy 'The Goodlands' linocut. I also make this in turquoise as another edition of 30. Technically that should have been a varied (different colour) of 60 in total. You live and learn. I will print this again but in Prussian blue. If you have navy or turquoise there will only ever be 30 of each.

Thanks to everyone who came to the Ecopark today. Lovely to have a chat with so many people.
I had three people come for specific prints, which I didn't have. If you know what you want, please let me know beforehand so I can make sure I have one. Each print is cut, inked and hand burnished by me. They are not copies or 'Giclee prints' (ink jet copies). I am happy to print to order and can do most single colour prints in any colour you like.
I don't have a huge stock as we don't have much storage space and due to the pressure needed by my wrists, I only print a few at a time.
